The Wailin’ Jennys launched as a folk group steeped in soaring harmonies over 20 years ago and very quickly collected a bevvy of dedicated fans. “We have a very dedicated and strong following that have kept on us, asking us: ‘When’s the next record coming out?’ ‘When are you getting back on the road?’ So there’s always been this pull from the fan base,” said Nicky Mehta, a co-founding member in 2002. Their last record, Fifteen, was released in 2017 marking their 15-year anniversary, as a gift to fans. Mehta, co-founder Ruth Moody and Heather Masse, along with their band, are on a new U.S. tour, giving fans another chance to hear their beloved harmonies in person. [PM]
